Overview
Pentaho BI Suite is distributed as a Pre-Configured Install (PCI) which let to introduce quickly on BI area. What I want here is to make a more permanent installation, using an updated version of Tomcat and MySQL in place of HSQLDB as database.This started as a post and as the size of the post increased, I decided to move it to it's own page.
After install all Pentaho tools, I intend to follow a step-by-step process from designing a database, populating it with sample data, modelling a dataware house, moving data to it using ETL tools, analyze it and construct reports, and mine it with Weka.
May be my tour helps anyone else, but certainly will help me to check the process and compare tools and models.
